On the basis of our customers’ aggregated data (100 T€ – 40 M€ revenue p.a.), we create transparency within the myth of Christmas sales and show how online retailers actually performed during Christmas 2013: Order values before cancellations and returns increased by 83% (on av.) and shops recorded 60% more active customers – going hand in hand with a return rate being just 1% higher than the rest of the year.

For example, you can see that during Christmas, returning customers are more valuable customers than new customers are: With revenues after returns being 68% higher (on av.) and with an average shopping cart containing 36 Euro more, they are way ahead of new customers.
